Stalking
Stalking (or cyberstalking if it happens on the internet or social media) is a special form of psychological violence. Stalking can be carried out by strangers, but the violence usually comes from the ex-partner.
If you too
- are being contacted massively and repeatedly against your will and despite clearly communicated boundaries and/or separation,
- are being unlawfully stalked or ambushed, you are being followed or otherwise interfered with,
- are being put under pressure through phone calls, emails or constant and one-sided contact on social media,
then you are experiencing violence through (cyber)stalking!
This violence can have a massive impact on your personal life and violates your personal rights and the fundamental right to privacy. Sleep and anxiety disorders as well as psychological impairments and even psychosomatic illnesses can be the result.
If you are affected by stalking, try not to let it get to the point where you become ill in the long term, but get help early on! Use our help hotline, for example; we will help you to get clarity and develop helpful strategies to end the violence caused by stalking or cyberstalking!
